We're looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking Cashier & Retail All-Rounder to join our growing team. This isn't just a cashier position. Your Responsibilities * Full cashier duties using our Square POS system (full training provided) * Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly smile * Stock counts and inventory updates * Packing and replenishing shelves * Receiving deliveries and unpacking stock * Rotating stock and managing Best Before dates * Maintaining outstanding shop presentation * Cleaning the store after each shift and ensuring excellent hygiene standards at all times * Assisting customers with product knowledge and recommendations We're Looking For Someone Who Is: ✅ Friendly, outgoing and enjoys chatting with customers ✅ Honest, reliable and punctual ✅ Well presented and takes pride in their appearance ✅ A team player with a positive attitude ✅ Happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in ✅ Physically able to stand for long periods and lift/unpack stock deliveries ✅ Organised with excellent attention to detail ✅ Willing to work in a fast-paced retail environment The Non-Negotiables 🇿🇦 A genuine love and knowledge of South Africa, our culture and our products. 🥩 A BIG love for biltong! 😊 You will be the face of Protea Delights. Our customers love a friendly chat, so confidence and great people skills are essential. Requirements * RSA Certificate (required for Browns Plains) * Food Safety Certificate (required for both stores) * Ability to work at either our Springfield and/or Browns Plains stores * Must be legally entitled to work in Australia * Previous retail experience is an advantage, but not essential for the right person Trading Hours Most shifts are afternoons, with occasional morning shifts. Monday – Friday Morning Shifts: 8:45 am – 1:30 pm Morning Shifts: 1:30 pm – 5:40 pm Saturday 8:45 am – 4:15 pm Sunday 9:45 am – 3:15 pm Weekend and public holiday availability is essential.
