Winter Dance / Sokkie & Braai — Saturday 18 July 2026 WHERE: Beerwah Community Centre Hall, 25 Peachester Rd, Beerwah QLD 4519 Join us for a proper South African-style evening — Sokkie, braai, and great company! Whether you come to dance, relax on the grass, meet new friends, or simply soak up the atmosphere (and the biltong!), this is a family-friendly community night you won't want to miss. TICKETS (via TryBooking) • Children under 5: $5 • Children 5–12: $10 • Adults 13+: $15 Also available at the door (pending availability). TABLE BOOKINGS • Free tables on arrival (first-come, first-served). • Reserve a table (8 seats) in advance for $25 (entry not included). Only 26 tables available. • BYO camping chairs and table for the grass. BRAAI, FOOD & DRINK Main vendor: Elsie's Kitchen Food Truck — vetkoek (mince/chicken/plain), boerewors rolls, curry & rice, chicken tenders, beer-battered fries, vetkoek toasties, dagwood dogs, hotdogs, plus malva pudding, koeksisters, milk tart, peppermint crisp tart, pannekoek and beskuit. Coffee, slushies, fairy floss and cold drinks. EFTPOS available. Kwagga Events stall: South African drinks (including alcoholic beverages), chocolates, chips, snacks, biltong, droëwors, chilli bites and more. BYO: picnic basket, utensils, glasses and food welcome. Shared braai facilities available — bring your own tongs and spices. CHILDREN Kids welcome — no supervision or entertainment provided. Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children at all times. ACCOMMODATION (camping on-site not allowed) 1. Gowinta Farms / Beerwah Caravan Park — 205 Burys Rd, Beerwah (~5 km). 2. Beerwah Glasshouse Mountains Motel — 1116 Steve Irwin Way, Glasshouse Mountains (~3 km). 3. Beerwah Motor Lodge — Landsborough (~6 km).
